I don’t just rock up to OL1 with a camera and a clipboard. Every weekday morning at 6:45 AM, I’m there in the thick of it—probably gasping for air and wondering why I chose the heavy wall balls. Being part of the furniture means I see the stories that outside agencies miss. While my day-to-day work for corporate brands involves a lot of sitting down and over-thinking, OL1 is about instinct and raw energy. I don’t just film this community; I’m sweating right alongside them, which is exactly why I know how to find the story in the sweat.

Sometimes you need to step away from the daily reels and create something that looks like it belongs on the big screen. "You Versus You" is our cinematic brand film—no gimmicks, just pure effort captured in slow motion. Despite the high-end look, this was shot with a "zero-friction" workflow. I don't need a half-day setup or a crew of ten to get these results; I work around the class in full flow. It’s high-end production with an Oldham heartbeat, designed to make potential members think, "I want a bit of that."

There’s nothing quite like the atmosphere of a CrossFit Open night at OL1. It’s loud, it’s sweaty, and the energy is through the roof. My goal here isn't just to film people lifting weights; it's to capture the Secret Pizza Co. boxes, the kids cheering on their parents, and the "all-in" spirit of the gym. These videos are massive for member retention—when people see themselves looking like athletes in a high-quality edit, they don't just stay members; they become brand ambassadors.

Pushing creative boundaries

Every now and then, we like to get a bit weird. For the OL1 Halloween event, I wanted to move away from the standard gym promo and create something with a bit of "bite." By blending real athlete footage with cinematic VFX and AI-generated imagery, we created a horror-inspired atmosphere that mirrored the intensity of the workout. This project is the perfect example of how I use emerging tools to support a vision, not replace it—delivering a high-concept, campaign-led film that stops the scroll dead.
