HYROX® is as much about mindset as it is physical preparation. When CrossFit OL1 decided to run a full-scale simulation event to prepare athletes for the Manchester Majors, we didn't just want to "promote" it—we wanted to put people inside the experience. This wasn't just a video; it was a psychological tool designed to build familiarity, confidence, and enough hype to drive immediate sign-ups.

Most gym marketing is a bit "fluffy," but HYROX® athletes are a different breed—they want data, they want intensity, and they want to know what they're up against. I took the raw energy of our 6:45 AM crossfit sessions and dialed the production value up to eleven. This project shifted from daily reels to a structured, weekly content system that answered one simple question for every athlete scrolling: "Am I actually HYROX ready?"

Our collaboration with CrossFit OL1 for HYROX went beyond just filming; it was a holistic brand-performance partnership. I designed the seamless O+L+1 mark to unify the event's identity, bringing it to life through 3D apparel animation and product visualisation that makes the athletes feel elite.
To make the films stand out, we didn't just use slow-motion; we used data. I built dynamic motion overlays—timers, distances, and heart-rate style metrics—and motion-tracked them directly onto the athletes wearing the new gear.
It’s about adding that professional, "televised sport" feel while proving the brand's grit, even when the Manchester weather forced us low and close to the action.

We didn't just target the "elite." We created personalised posts for members like Macey, Dan, and Chloe, using the headline "Are You HYROX Ready?" It made the campaign feel personal and competitive. Within days of the first Reel dropping, sign-ups started flying in. By the time the event arrived, the content had generated over 19,000 views, creating a digital buzz that matched the physical energy on the gym floor.
